Diseño de un sistema de triaje digital enfermero para pacientes pediátricos con Trastorno del Espectro Autista en Urgencias

Abstract

RESUMEN: Este proyecto pretende analizar las dificultades que se enfrentan los pacientes pediátricos con Trastorno del Espectro Autista en la asistencia sanitaria debido a sus características específicas, y proponer el desarrollo de un triaje digital enfermero para optimizar el proceso de triaje en urgencias para pacientes con trastorno del espectro autista (TEA). El objetivo de este trabajo es diseñar un sistema de triaje digital mediante un QR. Analizar el abordaje actual de niños con Trastorno del Espectro Autista (TEA) en los servicios de urgencias hospitalarias. Promover un modelo inclusivo y eficiente que responda a las necesidades específicas del paciente pediátrico con Trastorno del Espectro Autista identificando estrategias y herramientas digitales para mejorar su atención. El estudio se realizará a pacientes pediátricos entre 10 a 17 años que vayan a visitarse a urgencias de los hospitales comarcales de l’Anoia (Hospital Universitari d’Igualada), el Baix Llobregat Nord (Fundació Hospital Sant Joan de Déu de Martorell) y L’Alt Penedès (Hospital Comarcal de l’Alt Penedès). Este estudio pretende elegir hospitales comarcales para el estudio cuasiexperimental dado el nivel 2 de estos y su media complejidad en urgencias, además de facilitar el desarrollo profesional en la recerca i la docencia. En resumen, la implementación de este proyecto a los hospitales podría mejorar la calidad de la atención en urgencias para niños con TEA utilizando la integración de herramientas digitales, reduciendo las dificultades de comunicación, la sobrecarga sensorial y mejorando los resultados clínicos. La implementación de un sistema de triaje digital enfermero representa un paso innovador y necesario hacía unos servicios de urgencias más inclusivos, eficientes y centrados en el paciente. ABSTRACT: This project aims to analyze the challenges faced by pediatric patients with AutismSpectrum Disorder (ASD) in healthcare due to their specific characteristics and propose the development of a digital nursing triage system to optimize the emergency department triage process for patients with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). The objective of this work is to design a digital triage system using a QR code. It also aims to analyze the current approach to children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in hospital emergency departments. It also aims to promote an inclusive and efficient model that responds to the specific needs of pediatric patients with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) by identifying digital strategies and tools to improve their care. The study will be conducted on pediatric patients aged 10 to 17 years who will visit the emergency departments of the regional hospitals of Anoia (Igualada University Hospital), Baix Llobregat Nord (Fundació Hospital Sant Joan de Déu de Martorell), and Alt Penedès (Alt Penedès Regional Hospital). This quasi-experimental study aims to select regional hospitals for the trial given their level 2 status and their average complexity in emergency departments, in addition to facilitating professional development in research and teaching. In summary, implementing this project in hospitals could improve the quality of emergency department care for children with ASD through the integration of digital tools, reducing communication difficulties and sensory overload, and improving clinical outcomes. The implementation of a digital nursing triage system represents an innovative and necessary step toward more inclusive, efficient, and patient-centered emergency services.
