| es_ES |
| dc.description.abstract | Introduction: Anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) rupture is a common injury in female athletes, associated with a prolonged recovery process and a high risk of reinjury. In this context, blood flow restriction (BFR) training has emerged as a promising tool in rehabilitation.
Objective: To evaluate the effectiveness of BFR training as an adjunct to conventional treatment in functional recovery after ACL reconstruction in female soccer players.
Materials and Methods: A randomized clinical trial will be conducted with two groups: an experimental group (conventional rehabilitation + BFR) and a control group (conventional rehabilitation). The sample will consist of female soccer players who have undergone ACL reconstruction. Variables such as muscle strength, pain, range of motion, and muscle atrophy will be assessed using validated evaluation instruments. Follow-up assessments will be performed at different stages of the rehabilitation process.
Work Plan: The study will be carried out between October 2025 and June 2027.
Discussion/Conclusion: BFR is expected to improve strength recovery and reduce muscle atrophy without increasing pain, particularly during the early stages of rehabilitation. This study may provide relevant evidence and contribute to improving clinical practice in sports physiotherapy. | es_ES |
