N Multiple sclerosis is an autoimmune disease of the central nervous system characterized by demyelination and progressive neurological deterioration, causing fatigue, spasticity, sensory disturbances, anxiety, depression, gait disturbances and balance problems. Among non-pharmacological interventions, therapeutic exercise and hydrotherapy improve functional ability and quality of life in people with this conditions. OBJECTIVE To analyse the effectiveness of hydrotherapy as a complement to physical exercise on fatigue, spasticity, balance, mental health and walking speed in the physiotherapy treatment of women diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. MATERIAL AND METHODS A randomised clinical trial involving two groups is proposed: a control group, which will undergo therapeutic exercise alone, and an intervention group, which will combine therapeutic exercise with aquatic therapy. The intervention will last 12 weeks and three follow-ups assesments will be carried out. The following will be assessed: fatigue (Fatigue Severity Scale), spasticity (Modified Ashworth Scale), walking speed (6-minute walk test), balance and risk of falls (Tinneti Scale) and mental health (Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale). WORKING PLAN The study protocol will be structured in the following stages: planning, research design, implementation, data processing and analysis, preparation of the final report and, finally, publication in scientific journals. DISCUSION/ CONCLUSION Based on the current evidence, satisfactory results are expected in terms of improvements in the variables studied, including quality of life. It highlights the need for further research in this area.es_ES
