Anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction using a patellar tendon autograft is a common surgical technique in semi-professional and professional football players. However, this procedure may be associated with saphenous nerve neuropathy, causing neuropathic pain, sensory disturbances, and functional limitations that can delay return to competition. Objective: Compare the effectiveness of a combined program of conventional and invasive physiotherapy versus a conventional physiotherapy treatment in reducing recovery time and improving neurological symptoms following ACL reconstruction. Material and Methods: A randomized, prospective, controlled clinical trial will be conducted with 20 football players who underwent ACL reconstruction with a patellar tendon autograft and developed saphenous nerve neuropathy. Participants will be randomly assigned to a control group (conventional physiotherapy) or an experimental group (conventional physiotherapy + percutaneous neuromodulation, dry needling, and intratissue percutaneous electrolysis). Outcome measures will include pain intensity (VAS), sensory threshold (algometry), inflammation, range of motion, knee function (IKDC/KOOS), and time to return to competition. Work plan: This study will be planned in several clearly structured and organized stages: planning, research design, implementation, data processing, and preparation and writing of the final report. Discussion/Conclusion: It is expected that adding invasive physiotherapy techniques will improve neuropathic pain symptoms and reduce recovery time. the results may help optimize rehabilitation protocols in football players with saphenous nerve neuropathy after ACL surgery.es_ES
