Vía intraósea en el ámbito extrahospitalario. Estudio del conocimiento del personal de enfermería

Abstract

INTRODUCCIÓN Y JUSTIFICACIÓN: Se dispone de pocos estudios en nuestro país que indaguen en la formación de los profesionales de extrahospitalaria para fomentar un uso adecuado de los dispositivos intraóseos. Esto llama mucho la atención dada la importancia que se le da en el resto de Europa y Norteamérica. Se cree interesante conocer la realidad en el ámbito de la IO en Catalunya. OBJETIVOS: Se propone como objetivo general, analizar el conocimiento y el uso adecuado de la técnica en relación a la formación y la experiencia, de los profesionales del SEM. Como objetivos específicos: conocer la opinión del personal de enfermería sobre el dispositivo intraóseo; conocer la aplicabilidad de la técnica; y, analizar y profundizar en el conocimiento del personal de enfermería. MÉTODO: Se diseñó un estudio observacional, descriptivo, mixto, de seguimiento transversal. Se distribuyó como instrumento de análisis una encuesta. La muestra real se forma por un total de 81. Por último, se utilizó el programa estadístico informático SPSS v.22 para analizar los resultados obtenidos a partir del cuestionario. RESULTADOS: Se ha incluido 80 sujetos, los cuales son profesionales de enfermería del SEM de Catalunya. No podemos afirmar que el tipo de formación esté asociada a la dificultad en la canalización de la vía IO (p= >0,05). Tan sólo un 28,8% de la muestra refiere haber tenido alguna dificultad en la inserción de la IO. Existe únicamente un 5% de sujetos que hayan contestado correctamente al total de preguntas. DISCUSIÓN: La formación de los profesionales de enfermería en extrahospitalaria se considera esencial para el uso de los dispositivos intraóseos. En esta misma línea se cree necesario mejorar los conocimientos de los profesionales de enfermería. CONCLUSIÓN: Los resultados obtenidos siguen la misma línea que los estudios analizados, se concluye que la muestra tiene una amplia formación y experiencia, permitiéndoles afrontar diferentes situaciones de emergencia

INTRODUCTION: In our country there are few studies about the importance of the training in out-of-hospital nurse. It has come to our attention because of the importance it has in the rest of Europe or North America; thus we are going to know the reality of the IO ambit in Catalonia context. OBJECTIVES: It is proposed as a general objective, analyze the knowledge and proper use of the technique in relation to the training and experience of professionals in the SEM. Specific objectives: getting feedback from nurses about the intraosseous device; see the applicability of the technique; and to analyze and deepen the knowledge of nurses. METHOD: Has been designed an observational descriptive, mixt study and transversal tracking. It has been distributed as analysis instrument a poll. The real sample has been formed by 80 nurses. At last, have been resorted at informatics statistical program SPSS to analyze the results obtained. RESULTS: Has been included 80 subjects who are nurses. We cannot say that the type of training is associated with difficulty in channeling the IO route (p => 0.05). Only 28.8% (n = 23) of the sample reported having had some difficulty inserting the IO. There is only 5% (n = 4) of subjects who correctly responded to all questions. DISCUSSION: The training of nurses in outpatient considered essential for the use of intraosseous devices. In the same line, it is believed necessary to improve the training given to nurses in the out-of-hospital, to improve their knowledge. CONCLUSSION: The results follow the same line as the studies that address the training and knowledge of the IO route in other outpatient services. It let them to affront different emergency situations.
