Conocimientos enfermeros sobre el síndrome metabólico y su riesgo cardiovascular en usuarios con trastorno esquizofrénico

Abstract

INTRODUCCIÓN. La prevalencia del Síndrome Metabólico (SM) es superior, de 2 a 4 veces respecto a la población en general, en usuarios que padecen Trastorno Esquizofrénico. Este hecho es un signo de gran importancia clínica, ya que el SM se relaciona con un mayor riesgo de padecer enfermedades cardíacas, Diabetes Mellitus II, con una mayor morbi-mortalidad y un empeoramiento de la calidad de vida. Es necesario que, para poder prevenir y mejorar esta situación, el personal de enfermería posea unos conocimientos entorno al SM y su riesgo cardiovascular en el paciente con trastorno esquizofrénico. OBJETIVO: Valorar los conocimientos que posee el personal de enfermería entorno al SM y su Riesgo Cardiovascular en usuarios con Trastorno Esquizofrénico. METODOLOGÍA: Estudio descriptivo, observacional y transversal. La muestra la formarán un total de 49 profesionales de enfermería de los Servicios de Salud Mental de Adultos vinculados al Consorcio Sanitario de Terrassa. La investigación se realizará del 3 de Febrero al 30 de Abril del 2015. Los conocimientos se evaluarán mediante una encuesta de 25 preguntas modificadas por la propia autora. Los datos obtenidos se tabularán mediante el paquete estadístico SPSS 22.0 y se analizarán a través del Coeficiente de Correlación de Pearson y la prueba T de Student. CONCLUSIONES: El desconocimiento del SM y su riesgo cardiovascular en el paciente con trastorno esquizofrénico conducirá a una incorrecta valoración y como resultado a una atención de enfermería ineficaz. No se logrará la posible prevención y empeorará exponencialmente el estado de salud de los pacientes con esquizofrenia.

INTRODUCTION: The prevalence of Syndrome Metabolic (SM) is higher, 2 to 4 times, in the users with Schizophrenic Disorder than the general population. This is a sign of clinical importance because the SM is associated with an increased risk of heart disease, Diabetes Mellitus II, with increased morbidity and mortality and worsening quality of life. Is necessary to prevent and improve this situation that the nurses have knowledge about the SM and his cardiovascular risk in patients with schizophrenic disorder. OBJECTIVE: Establish what knowledge has the nurses about the SM and his cardiovascular risk in patients with schizophrenia disorder. METHODS: An observational, cross sectional study. The sample is 49 nursing workers to Mental Health Services for Adult linked to Terrassa Consortium. The research will be on February 3 to April 30 in the 2015. The knowledge will be evaluated with 25 questions modified by the author for the research. The information will be tabulated using SPSS 22.0 and will be analyzed through the Pearson correlation coefficient and Student T parameters. CONCLUSIONS: The ignorance, about the SM and his cardiovascular risk in patients with schizophrenic disorder, will produce an improper valuation and ineffective nursing care. The prevention is not possibility and the health status will worse if the knowledge is inappropriate.
