Influencias de la dismenorrea primaria en el dolor lumbar. Diagnóstico y tratamiento

Abstract

La DP es una razón de ausencia escolar en adolescentes y un verdadero problema en mujeres en edad reproductiva. Los riesgos de padecer DP incluyen nuliparidad, fumar, depresión, menstruación abundante y prolongada entre otros. Y uno de los síntomas más común entre las mujeres con DP es el dolor lumbar irradiado. Este estudio pone en manifiesto los mecanismos que conectan la DP con el dolor lumbar, ayudando, tanto a profesionales como a mujeres con DP, a comprender el porqué de sus dolores. El estudio pretende servir también como guía para aquellos profesionales que se encuentren frente a mujeres con estas dolencias, estableciendo un protocolo de diagnóstico y de tratamiento, valorando y tratando todas aquellas estructuras que puedan verse implicadas. El tratamiento propuesto intenta abordar el problema desde un punto de vista global, tratando el origen del problema y no solo sus síntomas.

The PD is a reason for school absence in adolescent and a real problem in women of reproductive age. The risk of developing PD includes nulliparity, smoking, depression, abundant and prolonged menstruation among others. And one of the most common symptoms among women with PD is the irradiated LBP. This study makes clear the mechanisms linking PD with LBP, helping both professionals and women with PD, to understand why their pain. The study also aims to serve as a guide for those professionals who have to deal with women with these conditions, establishing a protocol for diagnosis and treatment, assessing and treating all structures that may be involved. The proposed treatment tries to address the problem from a global point of view, treating the source of the problem and not just its symptoms.
