Rehabilitación de la marcha mediante el uso de la imagen motora en pacientes hemipléjicos

Abstract

En este trabajo se hace una introducción explicando brevemente la patología cerebrovascular y los déficits que presenta. Se continúa con la descripción de la neurofisiología de la marcha donde se definen las estructuras del sistema nervioso que influyen en la mecánica de esta. Seguidamente se hace referencia a la biomecánica de las distintas fases que constituyen la secuencia de la marcha y las alteraciones que se observan en el paciente hemipléjico. Posteriormente se introduce la imagen motora presentando las características sobre su aplicación en la rehabilitación y los mecanismos neurofisiológicos que la comportan. Además se relaciona con la información aportada por cinco estudios donde llevan la imagen motora a la práctica clínica. A partir de la información encontrada se propone un plan de actuación diagnostica y terapéutica para facilitar el uso de la imagen motora aplicada en un perfil de paciente en concreto. En las conclusiones se ha observado que a pesar de los estudios realizados, aún se precisa de mayor investigación en este ámbito para poder ampliar el campo de actuación.

The current study firstly introduces a brief explanation about the brain pathology and its deficiencies. Secondly, the neurophysiology of gait is described by defining the structures of the nervous system that have influence on its course. Thirdly, biomechanics of the different phases that comprise the gait sequence are mentioned in addition to the alterations a hemiplegic patient can give signs of. The motor imagery is also introduced in order to present the characteristics of its application to rehabilitation and the neurophysiological mechanisms involving in it. Furthermore, a connection is made with the information provided by five studies in which they put the motor imagery into clinical practice. Basing on the information obtained, a diagnostic and therapeutic intervention plan is proposed in order to facilitate the use of the motor imagery applied to a particular type of patient. Finally, the conclusions reveal that in spite of the studies that have been conducted, this area requires further research so that the room for manoeuvre can be widened.
