| es_ES |
| dc.description.abstract | Currently the Fetal Alcoholic Syndrome (FAS) is a public health problem which affects about 1% of the world population. It is a set of signs and symptoms that start at the moment of birth and which can keep developing along growth. This syndrome, so little known in society, is due to the consumption of alcohol by the mother during pregnancy. Considering the consequences of this disease, and the great ignorance prevailing in the society, it has seen convenient to design the health program "Too small to drink" with the aim of reducing the incidence of SAF within a period of 10 years at the schools Milà i Fontanals i Pau Claris of Ciutat Vella District.
For designing this program, it has been applied the PRECEDE’s method, which has allowed to identify the factors that predispose, reinforce and facilitate the emergence of the Syndrome’s associated behavior: alcohol consumption during pregnancy.
To change this behavior, it has been deemed necessary to carry out the program for 2 years, later these will be monitored for 8 years due to the lack of epidemiological information. In these terms, parallelly to 6 sessions of the program, a study will be carried out on the impact of FAS in Ciutat Vella, specifically at “Hospital del Mar”. Every year, the first Bachelorship’s course will realize the 3 first sessions and the three remaining will be held during second Bachelorship’s one.
The evaluation will be made by comparing the incidence of the year of implementation of the program to the one after 10 years, and with the help of the T-ACE test, which will measure the risk of alcohol consumption during mothers' pregnancy.

In conclusion, the "Too small to drink" program aims to provide the necessary tools for teens not to drink in the future during the gestational period, and also will be got the FAS to know. | es_ES |
