Abordaje integral de las necesidades cotidianas de un enfermo oncológico y su entorno

Abstract

INTRODUCCIÓN: Padecer una enfermedad oncológica, puede desestabilizar a nivel físico, emocional, espiritual y social la vida de la persona afectada y de su entorno, siendo indiferente el tipo de cáncer, localización, estadio, edad de inicio, o pronóstico del mismo. OBJETIVO: Analizar y comprender las experiencias que vivencia un enfermo oncológico y cuidador, prestando atención a aquellas situaciones complejas que tienen lugar en el entorno cotidiano del mismo, para crear un nuevo paradigma de atención integral, interdisciplinar e individualizada. METODOLOGÍA: La base del proyecto será bajo un paradigma naturalista, mediante metodología cualitativa, exploratoria de aproximación fenomenológica y etnográfica. Los participantes serán pacientes adultos enfermos de cáncer y su entorno próximo, excluyéndose la población pediátrica. Las técnicas para generar información serán, entrevistas semiestructuradas, estudios biográficos y observación directa no participante, desde el entorno del afecto. El tipo de análisis será de contenido temático. Se cumplirán los criterios de rigor y calidad de la investigación cualitativa. RESULTADOS ESPERADOS: Conocer de forma integral, la realidad que padece el enfermo oncológico y cuidador, durante la detección, diagnostico, tratamiento, remisión o recaída de un cáncer. CONCLUSIÓN: Es necesario llevar a cabo estudios cualitativos donde el enfermo oncológico y sus cuidadores, sean considerados como un todo dentro de su propio entorno, donde se aborde de forma integral e individual, aquellas consecuencias evidentes de la enfermedad, y aquellas únicas o propias de cada caso, como alteraciones emocionales, actitud frente a la enfermedad, biografía, situación social, cultural, económica; las cuales, puedan influir significativamente en la calidad de vida del enfermo.

Introduction Having an oncological disease can destabilize physical, emotional, spiritual and social level of life of the affected person and their environment, being indifferent to the type of cancer, location, stage, age of onset, or prognosis thereof. OBJECTIVE : Analyze and understand the experiences that experience a cancer patient and caregiver, paying attention to those complex situations that occur in the everyday environment of the same, to create a new paradigm of comprehensive, interdisciplinary and individualized attention. METHODOLOGY : The project will be based on a naturalistic paradigm, using qualitative methodology, phenomenological and exploratory ethnographic approach. Participants will adult patients with cancer and its neighbors, excluding the pediatric population. Techniques for generating information shall be semistructured interviews, biographical studies and direct non-participant observation, from the environment of affection. The type of analysis will be of thematic content. The criteria of rigor and quality of qualitative research will be met. EXPECTED RESULTS : Comprehensively meet the reality suffered by the cancer patient and caregiver during the detection, diagnosis, treatment, remission or relapse of cancer. CONCLUSION : We need to develop qualitative studies where cancer patients and their caregivers, will be considered a whole within their own environment, which is addressed in a comprehensive and individually, those obvious consequences of the disease, and those unique or specific to each case, and emotional disturbances, attitude to the disease, biography, social, cultural, economic; which, significantly influence the quality of life of patients.
