El procés de dol en la infermera de cures pal·liatives

Abstract

El dol és present quan se’ns mor un ésser estimat. Amb la següent revisió crítica de la literatura que s’ha escrit sobre el dol i, concretament, el de les infermeres del servei de cures pal·liatives, es fa patent que aquestes professionals són vulnerables a poder patir un dol patològic causat per la cura dels pacients que han estat cuidant durant l’etapa final de vida. En el present treball s’analitzen també les possibles estratègies per aconseguir que el procés de dol que puguin patir aquestes professionals no es converteixi en patològic.

Grief is present whenever a loved one passes away. With the following literature review on the grieving process, and more specifically, on that of palliative care nurses, it becomes clear that these professionals are vulnerable to suffering pathological grief due to their care of patients during the final stages of their lifes. In the current work, the possible strategies to avoid these professionals’ grieving process from becoming pathological are analysed.
