La musicoterapia como terapia alternativa en pacientes con esquizofrenia de larga evolución

Abstract

Siempre se ha tenido constancia acerca de los efectos que ejerce la música sobre el ser humano, por ello la práctica de la musicoterapia aplicada a la curación de pacientes, educación y expresión de emociones ha sido de gran importancia sobre pacientes cuya patología esté relacionada con la salud mental. Por ello, proponemos valorar si la musicoterapia puede ser utilizada como terapia alternativa frente a tratamientos convencionales con el objetivo de mejorar la sintomatología negativa en pacientes esquizofrénicos de larga evolución a través de un proyecto de investigación, de carácter cuantitativo cuasi experimental pretest-postest con grupo Experimental (E) y Grupo Control (C), con muestra de población ingresados en la unidad de media y larga estancia del Hospital Benito Menni en Sant Boi de Llobregat.

En el grupo experimental se seleccionarán sujetos con etiqueta diagnóstica DSM-IV: F20.xx: “Esquizofrenia”, localizados en ambas unidades junto a la colaboración de profesionales del centro, colaborando en el estudio junto a los musicoterapeutas durante las sesiones de la terapia.

Para el grupo control, se seleccionarán sujetos iguales al grupo experimental ubicados en las mismas unidades de media y larga estancia, con la diferencia que a estos no se les realizará ninguna terapia musical dentro del periodo de estudio.

Para llevarlo a cabo, se utilizará una entrevista semiestructurada y una escala para medir la sintomatología negativa; extraídos a partir de un prototipo validado por Peralta y Cols, que dispone la Universidad Complutense de Madrid, con las que realizaremos un análisis descriptivo de todas las variables incluidas en el estudio.

For us to do, It will be used a semistructured interview and a scale to measure the negative symptomatology; extracted from a prototype validated by Peralta and Cols, who arranges the Complutense University of Madrid, with that we will realize a descriptive analysis of all the variables included in the study.
