Programa d'Educació per a la Salut sobre RCP dirigit a cuidadors de pacients amb cardiopaties isquèmiques a L'Hospitalet de Llobregat

Abstract

OBJECTIU : Elaborar un programa d'educació per a la salut sobre reanimació cardiopulmonar (RCP) dirigit als cuidadors dels pacients amb cardiopaties isquèmiques de la ciutat de L'Hospitalet de Llobregat. MÈTODES I INSTRUMENTS : La població a la que va dirigit el programa està composta per familiars i coneguts de pacients que han patit alguna cardiopatia isquèmica. Les dades han estat recollides mitjançant un qüestionari d'elaboració pròpia. RESULTATS: El total de participants és de 15. D'aquests, 8 són homes i 7 dones, amb una edat mitja de 47 anys. La majoria tenen desconeixement sobre com actuar en cas de presenciar una aturada cardiorespiratòria (ACR), alhora que creuen que necessiten formació en RCP i estan disponibles i motivats a fer-la. INTERVENCIONS: Explicació teòrica sobre el reconeixement de l'ACR i l'activació de la cadena de supervivència i pràctica de les maniobres d'RCP; joc de realitat virtual; pràctica de l'actuació extrahospitalària davant una aturada cardiorespiratòria mitjançant el role-playing. CONCLUSIONS: Els cuidadors de pacients amb cardiopaties isquèmiques no tenen els coneixements suficients per fer front a una ACR i per aquest motiu es de vital importància formar-se en RCP.

OBJECTIVE: Develop a program of health education about cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) aimed at caregivers of patients with ischemic heart disease of the city of L'Hospitalet de Llobregat. METHODS AND INSTRUMENTS: The population whom the program is directed consists of relatives and acquaintances of patients who have suffered a ischemic heart disease. The information were collected through a questionnaire homemade. RESULTS: The total number of participants is 15. Of these, 8 are men and 7 women, with an average age of 47 years. Most have ignorance about how to act in case of witnessed cardiac arrest (CA), while they believe they need CPR training and are available and motivated to do it. INTERVENTIONS: Theoretical explanation of the recognition of the CA and the activation of the chain of survival and practice CPR maneuvers; virtual reality game; practical action of CA outside the hospital through role-playing. CONCLUSIONS: Caregivers of patients with ischemic heart disease don't have enough knowledge to deal with a CA and therefore is vital training in CPR.
