Cultura y salud reproductiva de la gestante inmigrante. Revisión bibliográfica

Abstract

INTRODUCCIÓN: La feminización de los continuos flujos migratorios ha generado una población joven en edad fértil que requiere una atención vinculada a la salud reproductiva. Esto afecta a los profesionales del área de ginecología y obstetricia presentándoles nuevos retos, ya que han de trabajar con una diversidad cultural. OBJETIVO: Realizar una revisión bibliográfica sobre el proceso de atención al embarazo y parto en mujeres inmigrantes de distintas culturas. MÉTODOS: Revisión bibliográfica sobre la atención en el embarazo, parto y postparto inmediato en entornos multiculturales, priorizando las características diferenciadoras entre la mujer inmigrante y la autóctona. La pregunta de investigación se ha elaborado siguiendo la estrategia PICO y la búsqueda se ha realizado en las bases de datos PUBMED, LILACS, CUIDEN y CUIDATGE, incluyendo publicaciones desde el año 2005 a la actualidad seleccionados a través de una valoración metodológica mediante los instrumentos propuestos por el programa CASPe y EQUATOR. El periodo de realización de esta revisión ha sido entre Noviembre del 2015 a Abril del 2016. RESULTADOS: Se obtuvieron 29 documentos los cuales han sido divididos en tres apartados según su contenido: 1. Diferencias obstétricas, 2. Rituales, comportamientos, y actitudes relacionados con la cultura, 3. Perspectiva y abordaje del personal sanitario de obstetricia y ginecología. CONCLUSIONES: Hay diferencias culturales en las características maternas, neonatales, actitudes y comportamientos de la mujer inmigrante. Por ello es necesario individualizar la atención teniendo en cuenta sus diferencias socioculturales para favorecer la accesibilidad a los servicios sanitarios. INTRODUCTION: The feminization of continuous migration has generated a young population of childbearing age who require care related to reproductive health. This affects the professionals in gynecology and obstetrics presenting new challenges as they have to work with a cultural diversity. OBJECTIVE: To review the literature on the process of care during pregnancy and childbirth immigrant women from different cultures. METHODS: A literature review on care during pregnancy, childbirth and postpartum immediately in multicultural environments, prioritizing the differentiating features between immigrant and native women. The research question has been prepared whit the PICO strategy and the search has been performed on the bases of PUBMED, LILACS, CUIDEN and CUIDATGE data, including publications from 2005 to present, selected through a methodological assessment through the instruments proposed by CASPe and EQUATOR program. The implementation period of this review was from November 2015 to April 2016. RESULTS: were obtained 29 documents which have been divided into three sections according to their content.1. Differences obstetrical, 2. Rituals, behaviors, and attitudes related to culture, 3. Perspective and approach of medical staff in obstetrics and gynecology: CONCLUSIONS: There are cultural differences in maternal, neonatal characteristics, attitudes and behaviors of immigrant women. It is therefore necessary to individualize care taking into account their cultural differences to promote accessibility to health services. KEYWORDS: birth, culture, pregnancy, immigration
