Manual transcultural de atención de enfermería en el proceso del parto

Abstract

INTRODUCCIÓN : La enfermería transcultural es esencial para poder garantizar una buena praxis a la hora de satisfacer las necesidades relacionadas con la cultura de las pacientes inmigrantes que presenten en el momento del parto. OBJETIVOS : Conocer y analizar las distintas culturas predominantes en Cataluña y como éstas viven el momento del parto. Por otra parte, otro de los objetivos es realizar un manual de enfermería transcultural dirigido a comadronas y todo aquel personal sanitario que participe en el momento del parto. METODOLOGÍA : Revisión de la literatura científica a través de la consulta de diferentes bases de datos relevantes. CONCLUSIONES : Se propone un manual de enfermería transcultural de asistencia y cuidado en el parto, que presente las características definitorias relacionadas con las diferentes culturas de las mujeres inmigrantes que predominan en Cataluña para realizar un mejor abordaje asistencial. INTRODUCTION : Transcultural nursing is essential to ensure the needs and culture of immigrant patients who present at the time of delivery are respected and ensured. OBJECTIVES : Understand and analyse predominant cultures in Catalonia to better understand their cultural needs in regard to childbirth. The objective of this study is to create a transcultural nursing manual aimed at midwives and all medical personnel involved in the medical care of both mother and child during childbirth. METHODS : Review of the scientific literature through the different relevant data bases. CONCLUSIONS : It is proposed to produce a manual to assist nurses and medical staff in providing better health care at the time of childbirth to transcultural women in the Catalan area.
