Repercussió emocional en l’avortament voluntari: Un ampli debat.

Abstract

Des de molts anys enrere l'avortament voluntari sempre ha estat un tema amb una gran polèmica a nivell social, es cert que les diferents ideologies de la població han obert un ampli debat en el que és ètic i que no. Però no es tant sols un debat en els factors ètics i morals sinó que també ho es en les conseqüències emocionals que sofreixen les dones que han estat sotmeses a un avortament. Quan parlem d'avortament voluntari, solem fer-ho des de la perspectiva biomèdica, deixant al marge les repercussions psicològiques que comporta aquesta decisió per a la mare. L'objectiu principal es realitzar una revisió bibliogràfica sobre les repercussions que té l'avortament voluntari en la salut mental de la mare. Veurem que mentre que uns autors neguen la relació entre salut mental i avortament, altres defensen a través dels seus estudis l'aparició de trastorns d'ansietat, depressió, estrès post traumàtic, comportaments perillosos i suïcides, i consum de drogues. Els resultats principals ens mostren que hi ha grans contraindicacions en el fet de que l'avortament i la salut mental estigui directament relacionat. Hi ha una sèrie de factors de risc que predisposen a l'afectació psicològica post abortiva, sent el més destacat el fet de tenir una malaltia psicològica prèvia a l'embaràs i avortament. Since the last many years in voluntary abortion has always been a controversial topic with a social level, it is true that the different ideologies of the population have opened a wide debate on what is ethical and what is not. But not even a debate on the ethical and moral factors but also on the emotional consequences are suffered by women who have undergone abortion. When we talk about voluntary abortion, we do it from the perspective of biomedical leaving aside the psychological implications that this decision entails for the mother. The main objective is to carry out a literature review on the implications that voluntary abortion on the mental health of the mother. While some authors deny the relationship between abortion and mental health, others argue through their studies the emergence of anxiety disorders, depression, PTSD, and suicide risk behaviors and drug use. The main results show that there are major contraindications to the fact that abortion and mental health is directly related. There are a number of risk factors that predispose to post-abortion psychological effect, most notably having a psychological illness prior to pregnancy and abortion. KEYWORDS : Abortion.
