Efectos psicológicos tras un evento traumático de terrorismo

Abstract

INTRODUCCIÓN: El terrorismo se sitúa como uno de los principales problemas a abordar para la sociedad en la actualidad y con ello también, sus posibles consecuencias psicológicas, sobre todo en lo profesionales que actúan en un atentado terrorista realizando labores de asistencia a los heridos y la identificación y, el trasporte de las víctimas mortales. Aunque los datos apuntan a la aparición de síntomas y trastornos de estrés postraumático, ansiedad y depresión tras el atentado, tanto a corto como a medio y largo plazo, así como otros comportamientos derivados, como el consumo de sustancias o el riesgo de suicidio, resulta difícil extraer conclusiones al respecto si prestamos atención a otros factores que puedan estar en juego como el nivel de exposición al atentado o el tiempo transcurrido desde el ataque. OBJETIVO: El objetivo principal de este estudio es describir el impacto emocional que pueden sufrir los profesionales del Sistema de Emergencias Médicas (SEM) del municipio Barcelonés, después de haber atendido un evento traumático de terrorismo y, como les ha afectado pasado los seis meses. METODOLOGÍA: Se trata de un estudio descriptivo, observacional y analítico y, transversal. La muestra son los profesionales del SEM del municipio Barcelonés que estuvieron atendiendo el atentado de las Ramblas de Barcelona del pasado 17 de Agosto de 2017. Se utilizarán diversos cuestionarios para calcular el impacto emocional después de la atención en un evento traumático de terrorismo y se analizaran los datos mediante el programa estadístico SPSS. INTRODUCTION: Terrorism is one of the main problems to be addressed by society today and with it, it’s possible psychological consequences, especially in the professionals who act in a terrorist attack, carrying out tasks of assistance to the wounded and the identification and , in the transportation of the deadly victims. Although the data point to the appearance of symptoms and disorders of post-traumatic stress, anxiety and depression after the attack, both in the short, medium and long term, as well as other derived behaviors, such as the consumption of substances or the risk of suicide, It is difficult to draw conclusions in this regard if we pay attention to other factors that may be at stake such as the level of exposure to the attack or the time that has elapsed since the attack. OBJECTIVE: The main objective of this study is to describe the emotional impact that professionals of the Medical Emergency System (MES) of the Barcelonés municipality may suffer after having attended a traumatic event of terrorism and, as it has affected them after six months. METHODOLOGY: This is a descriptive, observational and analytical and cross-sectional study. The sample is the SEM professionals of the Barcelonés municipality who were attending the attack on the Ramblas in Barcelona on August 17, 2017. Various questionnaires will be used to calculate the emotional impact after the attention in a traumatic event of terrorism and will be analyzed the data through the statistical program SPSS.
