Las cicatrices derivadas de la cesárea y la episiotomía y sus repercusiones en el organismo

Abstract

La cesárea y el parto por episiotomía, son dos procedimientos obstétricos que cada vez se practican con más frecuencia. La mujer que se somete a este tipo de intervenciones quirúrgicas debe conocer los riesgos y repercusiones que pueden tener en su organismo. Mayoritariamente, las repercusiones que se producen son a nivel del abdomen y del suelo pélvico. No obstante, en la mayoría de los casos acaba provocando una disminución de la calidad de vida en la mujer. Es importante llevar a cabo de forma inmediata la valoración y tratamiento de la cicatriz obstétrica para prevenir las repercusiones que puede crear en el organismo. De lo contrario, si ha transcurrido un cierto tiempo desde la intervención a la realización de la valoración y tratamiento, estos estarán enfocados a identificar las principales repercusiones de la paciente y trabajar en la recuperación de ellas. A partir de la revisión bibliográfica se pretende crear un protocolo de valoración y tratamiento que comprende, en primer lugar, el tratamiento de la cicatriz obstétrica, un tratamiento global a nivel abdomino-diafragmático, seguido de un tratamiento específico del abdomen si se trata de una cesárea, o la recuperación del suelo pélvico para devolver su funcionalidad a las mujeres a las que se les ha realizado una episiotomía. Caesarean and episiotomy labours, are two obstetrical procedures that are used with more frequency every day. The woman subjected to this kind of surgical interventions must know the risk and the consequences that her body can have. Mainly, the aftermath occurring are at the level of the abdomen and the pelvic floor. However, in most cases, it ends inducing a decrease in quality of life in women. It’s important to immediately carry out the evaluation and treatment of the obstetrical cicatrix to prevent the consequences that can create in the organism. Otherwise, if a period of time have passed since the intervention to the performance of this evaluation and treatment, this would be focused to identify the principal repercussions of the patient, and to work for the recuperation of those. From the systematic revision of the bibliography, the aim is to create an evaluation and treatment protocol that compounds, firstly, the treatment of the obstetrical cicatrix, an abdominal-diaphragmatic global treatment, followed by a specific treatment of the abdomen, if we are talking about the caesarean wound, or the recuperation of the pelvic floor to restore his functionality to the women that have been through an episiotomy.
