Percepción y vivencia de mujeres con psicosis puerperal

Abstract

El embarazo se suele asociar a un estado de felicidad y bienestar. Pese a que, en la bibliografía contrastada durante el desarrollo de este proyecto, se identifica como un momento vulnerable para la mujer. En especial, el periodo del puerperio, siendo en esta etapa la psicosis puerperal una de las patologías mentales quizás más desconocida y peligrosa, pero que poco a poco va teniendo más trascendencia. Por este motivo, el objetivo de este estudio es investigar la percepción y vivencia de las madres tras sufrir psicosis puerperal. Para realizar este proyecto, se ha desarrollado un tipo de diseño mixto, exploratorio y longitudinal, siendo el tiempo de estudio de dos años. Este estudio, se realizará en el Hospital de la Vall d’Hebron de Barcelona, que pertenece al sistema sanitario integral de utilización pública de Cataluña. El servicio de psiquiatría dispone de unidad de agudos y consultas externas. Dentro de la cartera de servicios se encuentran los trastornos mentales durante el embarazo y el puerperio. La recogida de datos se realizará mediante diversos instrumentos. En primer lugar, durante el ingreso en la unidad de agudos de psiquiatría, se realizará observación participante, se pasará la escala para la valoración de los síntomas psicóticos (PSYRATS) y la entrevista semiestructurada con guion basada en los patrones de Marjory Gordon. En segundo lugar, se realizará un seguimiento de 2 años en consultas externas de psiquiatría, en la cual, se pasarán las mismas escalas y la entrevista semiestructurada con guión basada en los patrones de Marjory Gordon, ya que, se quiere dar profundidad al análisis y obtener la mayor información posible sobre la percepción y la vivencia de las mujeres que sufren psicosis puerperal. Posteriormente, se transcribirán los datos obtenidos y se analizarán con el programa NVIVO y SPSS. Pregnancy is often associated with a state of happiness and well-beign. Even though, in the literature verified during the development of this project, it is identified as a vulnerable moment for women. In particular, the period of the puerperium, being at this stage the puerperal psychosis one of the mental pathologies perhaps more unknown and dangerous, but that little by little is having more transcendence. For this reason, the objective of this study is to investigate the perception and experience of mothers after suffering postpartum psychosis. To carry out this project, a type of mixted, exploratory, and longitudinal design has been developed, being the study time of two years. This project will be carried out at the Vall d’Hebron Hospital in Barcelona, which belongs to the comprehensive public health system in Catalonia. The psychiatric service has an acute unit and outpatient consultations. The portfolio of services includes mental disorders during pregnancy and the postpartum period. The data collection to be carried out during the survey will be carried out using various instruments. First, during admission to the acute psychiatric unit, participant observation will be carried out and in the most stable phase of admission the semi-structured interview will be passed with script based on Marjory Gordon’s patterns. Subsequently, a follow-up Will be carried out in outpatient psychiatric consultations, in which the psychotic symptom scale (PSYRATS), the Edinburgh Postnatal Depression Scale (EPDS) and the semistructured interview with script based on Marjory Gordon’s patterns will be passed, the aim is to give depth to the analysis and obtain as much information as possible on the perception and experience of women suffering from puerperal psychosis.
