Avaluació i pauta de tractament en la patologia cervical derivada de l’ús de dispositius tecnològics (Text Neck Syndrome)

Abstract

RESUM : INTRODUCCIÓ: El dolor cervical és una de les patologies més incidents en la població; hi ha diferents causes que poden influir en l’aparició d’aquesta i, una d’elles és l’ús dels diferents dispositius tecnològics així com la posició avançada del cap i coll, que sovint poden relacionar-se. OBJECTIUS: L’objectiu d’aquest treball és detectar el Text Neck Syndrome (TNS) per estudiar el comportament d’aquesta patologia i així elaborar un bon abordatge terapèutic. RESULTATS: El TNS fa referència a l’ús excessiu dels diferents dispositius tecnològics així com a la flexió cervical i del cap que sovint comporta, provocant un estrès repetitiu sobre les estructures associades i, en conseqüència donant pas a una sèrie de signes i símptomes que poden ser molt invalidants en el dia a dia. L’actuació diagnòstica se centra sobretot en l’estudi i reconeixement d’aquests signes i símptomes, per poder abordar-los adequadament des de la teràpia manual i l’exercici terapèutic. CONCLUSIONS: L’evidència bibliogràfica disponible no mostra un acord clar en quant l’etiopatogènia del TNS, així com tampoc troba una correlació clara entre l’ús dels dispositius tecnològics i la simptomatologia més enllà de la protracció cervical i les irradiacions. Aquesta patologia però, encara no està instaurada, és per això que encara no s’ha pogut acomplir un pla terapèutic específic, però sí que s’emfatitza en la prevenció. ABSTRACT : INTRODUCTION: Neck pain is one of the most common pathologies in the population; there are different causes that can influence its appearance and one of them is the use of different technological devices as well as the advanced position of the head and neck, which can often be related. OBJECTIVES: The aim of this work is to detect Text Neck Syndrome (TNS) in order to study the behaviour of this pathology and thus develop a good therapeutic approach. RESULTS: TNS refers to the excessive use of different technological devices as well as to the cervical and head flexion that it often involves, causing repeated stress on the associated structures and, consequently, leading to a series of signs and symptoms that can be very disabling in daily life. The diagnostic action is mainly focused on the study and recognition of these signs and symptoms, in order to be able to address them adequately from manual therapy and therapeutic exercise. CONCLUSIONS: The available bibliographic evidence does not show a clear agreement on the etiopathogenesis of NSD, nor does it find a clear correlation between the use of technological devices and symptomatology beyond cervical protraction and irradiation. However, this pathology is not yet established, which is why a specific therapeutic plan has not yet been developed, but the emphasis is on prevention.
