Evaluación y abordaje fisioterapéutico de la capsulitis adhesiva de hombro en paciente oncológico

Abstract

RESUMEN : INTRODUCCIÓN: La capsulitis adhesiva (CA) es una afección que causa dolor y rigidez en el hombro, debido a la inflamación y engrosamiento de la cápsula del hombro. Provoca una disminución del rango de movimiento activo y pasivo del hombro en los 3 planes. Entre el 2% y el 5% de la población sufre de Capsulitis Adhesiva, y las personas con más prevalencia son mujeres entre 40 y 60 años. Además, una de las etiologías principal es el cáncer de mama. Nos concentraremos en la valoración y el abordaje fisioterapéutico de la capsulitis adhesiva en pacientes oncológicos. OBJECTIVOS: El objetivo que hemos planteado es recoger las informaciones recientes sobre la valoración y el tratamiento de la capsulitis adhesiva en pacientes oncológicos. RESULTADOS: El trabajo se concentra primero en la valoración de la patología con diferentes métodos como valoración directa del fisioterapeuta o diagnóstico por imagen. El abordaje terapéutico incluirá tratamientos para las diferentes fases de la capsulitis adhesiva dirigido a disminuir el dolor, mejorar la amplitud articular o readaptarse para volver a trabajar dependiendo de la fase en la cual está el/la paciente. Teniendo en cuenta el hecho de que los/las pacientes son pacientes oncológicos y por este motivo, pueden tener debilidad física o mental. CONCLUSIONES: Este plan diagnóstico y abordaje terapéutico pretende ayudar a las personas que se ocupan de la fisioterapia que quieren valorar y tratar una capsulitis adhesiva en pacientes oncológicos. ABSTRACT : INTRODUCTION: Frozen shoulder (FS) is an affectation that causes pain and stiffness in the shoulder due to inflammation and thickening of the shoulder capsule causing decreased active and passive range of motion of the shoulder in all 3 planes. 2% to 5% of the population suffers from Frozen Shoulder, the people with the highest prevalence are women between 40 and 60 years old. In addition, one of the main etiologists is breast cancer. We will focus on the assessment and physiotherapeutic approach of adhesive capsulitis in cancer patients. OBJECTIVES: Our objective is to collect recent information on the assessment and treatment of frozen shoulder in cancer patients. RESULTS: The work focuses first on the assessment of the pathology with different methods such as direct assessment of the physiotherapist or diagnostic imaging. The therapeutic approach will include treatments for the different phases of frozen shoulder aimed at reducing pain, improving joint amplitude, or readjusting to return to work depending on the phase in which the patient is. Because patients are cancer patients and for this reason may have physical or mental weakness. CONCLUSIONS: This diagnostic plan and therapeutic approach will help physiotherapists who want to assess and treat frozen shoulder in cancer patients.
