| es_ES |
| dc.description.abstract | Introduction: anxiety and sleep disorders negatively affect physical and psychological health, as well as quality of life. These conditions are more prevalent in women due to hormonal variations. Physical exercise has become established as an effective non-pharmacological intervention for improving these conditions.
Objectives: this study aims to analyze the effects of therapeutic exercise on anxiety and sleep quality in women, considering the phase of their menstrual cycle.
Material and methods: a randomized clinical trial will be conducted in women aged 25 to 35 with strength training experience, based on the phase of their menstrual cycle. The sample will consist of 99 women divided into three groups: follicular phase intervention, luteal phase intervention, and a control group.
Working plan: the study will take place between September 2025 and March 2027. An intervention protocol focused on therapeutic exercise will be designed and will take place between August 2026 and January 2027. Once completed, an article will be prepared for subsequent submission to scientific journals.
Discusion/conclusion: the response to exercise can vary depending on the phase of the menstrual cycle, primarily during the luteal phase, improving anxiety and sleep levels. The lack of studies focused on active women that consider this variable justifies the need to investigate therapeutic exercise programs adapted to the menstrual cycle. | es_ES |
