Beneficios de la fisioterapia pulmonar y el ejercicio en pacientes con fibrosis quística: revisión sistemática

Abstract

Introducción: La FQ es la enfermedad genética, hereditaria y crónica más común, causada por anomalías en el gen CFRT. Afecta a las zonas del cuerpo que producen secreciones, dando lugar a un espesamiento y disminución del contenido de agua, sodio y potasio, y originando la obstrucción de esos canales. Para el diagnóstico será necesario realizar las pruebas del talón o test del sudor. Objetivo: El objetivo de esta revisión es conocer los diferentes beneficios que tienen los tratamientos de fisioterapia pulmonar y ejercicio en pacientes con FQ. Material y métodos: El desarrollo de esta revisión se lleva a cabo a través de una búsqueda bibliográfica en las principales bases de datos de ciencias de la salud (PubMed, Cochrane y PEDro). Para la selección de artículos, se establecieron unos criterios tanto de inclusión como de exclusión y a parte se pasó la escala CASPe para evaluar la calidad metodológica de cada artículo elegido. Resultados: Se incluyeron 10 artículos con distintos tratamientos. La mayoría de ellos utilizaban el ejercicio combinado; ERGO+EENM (p<0,05), con fisioterapia de expectoración de esputo (p=0,021/p=0,074) y comparando duración del ejercicio, función pulmonar y bienestar (p=0,0222/p=0,005/p=0,039/p<0,003/p<0,02). Los cambios de FEV1 y RV/TLC (p<0,001). Discusión y conclusión: La muestra de pacientes es bastante reducida y, por lo tanto, no se ve tanta efectividad en las intervenciones. Y es necesario realizar estudios con muestras más amplias, mayor seguimiento y exposición al tratamiento para valorar la eficacia de cada técnica de tratamiento.

Results: Ten articles with different treatments were included. Most of them used combined exercise; ERGO+EENM (p<0,05), with sputum expectoration physiotherapy (p=0,021/p=0,074), and comparing exercise duration, lung function and well-being (p=0,0222/p=0,005/p=0,039/p<0,003/p<0,02). And it is necessary to perform studies with larger samples, greater follow-up and exposure to treatment to assess the efficacy of each treatment technique.
